Welcome!
Welcome to the LITS Book Display Guide!
Every year LITS shares a series of book displays that feature a selection of titles from our collections, organized around a particular theme or event. You can visit these displays in person at LITS, and this guide brings them to you online! Each section includes direct Discover links to the books included in our physical displays. Our most recent display can be found in the Featured Display section, and older displays are in the Book Display Archive.
The library is excited to collaborate with the Mount Holyoke community to provide fun, educational, and meaningful book displays! Visit Suggest a book display to learn how you can recommend a topic for a future display in LITS.
Borrowing Books in Displays
Books are meant to be read!
You are very welcome to check books out while they are on physical display in LITS, with just one exception (really, just one!) -- our annual Senior Book Tribute. Each year in May, LITS celebrates our graduating student employees by plating a book of their choosing in their honor. We keep that display intact so our seniors can share their books with friends and family during Commencement weekend. Once the festivities are over, you can borrow away!
See something in this guide that you'd like to check out? Click on the cover image to view the book's detailed record in Discover.
Click on the Place Request link in the left side menu on the record display screen to place a request for the book.
You will be prompted to log in to your library account to complete your request. Once submitted, library staff will retrieve the item for you and place it on hold at the Circulation Desk. You'll get an email from us when it's ready to pick up!
