LITS Services and Resources for Individuals with Disabilities
Williston Library / Miles-Smith Library / Dwight Hall
The LITS complex is wheelchair accessible from the main entrance (at base of the tower on the interior quad), the loading dock entrance (off College Street), and the east side of Dwight Hall. For location details, see the MHC Campus Map.
Accessible restrooms are located on floors 2, 4, and 6.
Unfortunately, not all of LITS spaces are wheelchair accessible. Please see the LITS Guide to Accessibility for a map outlining accessible spaces and pathways through the building. The South elevator reaches all floors of the South stacks (1-7) but is not wheelchair accessible. The North elevator is wheelchair accessible and provides access to all floors of the North stacks but only access to floors 2, 4, and 6 of the South stacks. The Dwight building elevator is accessible and provides access to all floors of the Dwight building. Access between the Dwight and Miles-Smith/Williston buildings is provided by means of a wheelchair lift. Please contact the Technology Help Desk (413-538-2600) for assistance with the lift, if needed. See Obtaining Library Materials for access to collections that are not wheelchair accessible.
