Welcome to the Ancient Greek and Latin Language Guide!

χαῖρε! Salve! This guide will help you find effective resources for ancient Greek and Latin language learning for all levels that we have here at MHC, in the Five College area, and beyond. It is designed to help you discover useful and interesting tools and materials to guide you on your language and culture learning adventure.

Ancient Greek and Latin are two languages offered under the Mount Holyoke College Classic department. Research in ancient Greek and Latin would shed light on other areas of the classic study of the two civilizations from the 8th century BCE to the 15th century, including literature, history, politics, philosophy, culture, and so on.
