Welcome to the Spanish Language Guide!

¡Hola! This guide will help you find effective resources for Spanish language learning for all levels that we have here at MHC, in the Five College area, and beyond. It is designed to help you discover useful and interesting tools and materials to guide you on your language and culture learning adventure.

Spanish is a Romance language that has its origins in Europe's Iberian Peninsula. It is now a global language spoken by about 500 million people, mostly in Spain and the Americas. Spanish is the official language of 20 countries. Spanish is one of the United Nation's six official languages. The European Union also uses it, the Organization of American States, the Union of South American Nations, the Community of Latin American and the Caribbean States, the African Union, and a number of other international organizations do too.
