NHK Japanese Podcast Lessons
NHK, or Japan Broadcasting Corporation, offers free podcast lessons with MP3 downloads and text versions of all the lessons. New broadcasts are updated on the website periodically.

Japanese Language Proficiency Test
The Japan Foundation and the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services administer this language proficiency exam twice a year in major cities domestically and abroad. Proficiency levels range from N5 to N1, the lowest and highest levels respectively.

Nihongo Dekimasu!
Free Japanese study materials from the Japan Foundation. Each video episode includes text versions of the skits, short vocabulary quizzes, featured expressions, and more video content explaining the cultural interactions of an episode.
