Creating Accessible Course Materials

Mount Holyoke College has an Electronic and Information Technology (EIT) Accessibility Policy that establishes minimum standards and expectations regarding the design, acquisition or use of EIT to achieve the College’s legal, moral, and ethical commitments in the digital environment.  The College's Technology Access Committee maintains an online guide which details standards, procedures, and workflows for the procurement, development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of EIT.

Under both State and Federal laws, the College must provide students who have print-disabilities with alternative format accommodations.  The legal standard is that instructional materials must be available in an accessible format at the same time, and with the same ease of use that materials are provided to students without disabilities.

Moodle

Moodle is the Learning Management System (LMS) for Mount Holyoke College, and as such is integral to teaching and learning. We are committed to making this system as open and accessible to all of our students and faculty as possible.  Please let us know through the MHC Accessibility Barriers form if you experience any difficulty with Moodle.
