LITS is currently working with faculty to move needed course reserve materials online so you can access them through your Moodle course. Many publishers are making ebooks that were previously unavailable for libraries free for students for the duration of remote learning. If you have questions about a reserve item, we suggest contacting your professor first, as they may already have access, or may be changing the required readings for the semester.
Feel free to continue making InterLibrary Loan (ILL) requests for book chapters and articles. We will do our best to get your requests scanned through ILL but please know that many other libraries are closed as well and fulfillment may not be possible. If we can't fulfill your original requests, our LITS liaisons are happy to work with you to help you identify alternate materials that will meet your needs. Also please note that because most libraries are closed, we cannot fulfill any InterLibrary Loan requests for physical books.
If you have any questions, email email@example.com.
Keep your library materials!
Our top priorities are keeping all members of our community safe and focusing staff efforts on the work needed to support your teaching and learning online. You can help our efforts by keeping your library materials at home.
Students returning to campus in the fall can return library books then. If you're not returning in the fall, see the LITS website for more information about item drop off. Seniors should have been contacted with information on how to return items to campus. There will be no fines, and we have taken steps to reduce the number of automated overdue notices you will receive. If you do receive a notice, you may ignore it.
If you have any questions about the library materials that are currently checked out to you, or are a senior and did not receive an email from the library please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Books from the reserve collection are an exception. We need reserve books back so that we can put content online via Moodle. You will either find your assigned course readings in Moodle or available as e-books.
Requesting Books We are not able to process student requests for new book purchases under the current circumstances. We recommend searching for ebooks, or articles that we already have in our current collection. If you have questions feel free to reach out to email@example.com.
