Finding Maps

Where to find maps for your research

Introduction: Maps in the Library

This guide lists some of the best places to find maps locally and online. The Five College Map Resources, Reference Sources, Atlases, Topographical Maps, Specialized Maps, GIS and Map Images, and the Maps on the Internet tabs include some information and links to the useful collections that are available.

There are varied sources of maps within the Mount Holyoke Library collection. We do not have a "map library," however, this web page should help guide you to some map resources. Many are in atlases, in pockets at the back of books, and some are cataloged and bound separately with others that are located in the reading room. Beyond our collection, there are many Five College and Internet resources.

If you need further assistance with any of these resources, please contact Caro Pinto for help.
